Terms and refund policy
These terms cover buying and spending credits for GradeHunt group tutoring, and the guarantee that comes with the GradeHunt Programme. Last updated 22 October 2026.
Who you are buying from
GradeHunt group tutoring is run by Will Hunter. For anything about your account, a payment or a session, email will@gradehunt.co.uk.
What a credit is
Credits are bought in packages and spent one at a time. One credit buys either a seat at one live session, or the recording of one session. They cost the same.
Booking a live session includes that session’s recording at no further cost, so there is never a reason to spend a second credit on the recording of a session you booked.
Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred to another person or account.
No refunds
Payments for credits are non-refundable. Once a package is bought, the money paid for it will not be returned. This applies whether or not the credits are used, and whether or not they are used before they expire.
Two things are not affected by this. The first is cancelling a booking, which is described below and returns a credit rather than money. The second is a session that GradeHunt does not run - see “If a session is cancelled or changed”.
Nothing in this policy removes or limits any right you have under UK consumer law, which applies regardless of what is written here.
Cancelling a booking
You can cancel a booking at any time up until the session starts, and the credit goes back to your account to spend on something else. This is not a refund of money: the payment stays with GradeHunt and the credit returns to you.
Once a session has started it can no longer be cancelled and the credit is not returned. A recording cannot be cancelled once bought, because it is available immediately.
When credits expire
Credits expire at the end of 18 December 2026. After that date they cannot be spent on a session or a recording, they are not replaced, and the money paid for them is not returned. Bookings and recordings already paid for are unaffected: a recording you have bought stays available to you, and a session you have booked still goes ahead.
The last session of the term is on the same day, 18 December, so a credit can be spent on any session of the term right up to the final one.
If a session is cancelled or changed
If GradeHunt cancels a session, or moves it to a time you cannot make, the credit is returned to your account. If that happens close to the expiry date above, the credit will be honoured after it - you will not lose a session because of a change made at this end.
Session times and topics may change. The timetable on the site is the current version, and anyone booked onto a session that moves will be told by email.
Using the sessions and recordings
Sessions and recordings are for the use of the student whose account bought them. Recordings must not be shared, re-uploaded or distributed. Account sharing, or passing recordings on, may result in access being withdrawn without the credits being returned.
Payment
Payments are handled by Stripe. GradeHunt never sees or stores your card details. What GradeHunt records is that a payment succeeded and how many credits it bought.
The GradeHunt Programme guarantee
This section applies only to the GradeHunt Programme, which is sold separately from credits and agreed on a call. It does not change anything above.
If you do not improve by two grades, or reach an A*, over the four weeks of the programme, GradeHunt will continue tutoring you free of charge until the end of 18 December 2026. This is continued tutoring, not a return of money: the fee paid for the programme is not refunded under this guarantee. Cancelling the programme is a separate matter, and is covered below.
Continued tutoring means the same weekly one-to-one hours and the same cohort sessions you had during the programme, running on the ordinary timetable until that date. It does not extend beyond it.
How the two grades are measured
Two exam papers, each made up of a combination of AQA A-level past paper questions for your subject. The first is sat at the start of the programme and the second at the end. Both are marked by GradeHunt against the 2026 AQA grade boundaries for A-level Biology or Chemistry, whichever you are taking.
Improving by two grades means the second paper falls two grade boundaries or more above the first. Reaching an A* means the second paper falls on or above the A* boundary, whatever the first paper scored.
If the first paper already falls on or above the A* boundary, we’ll allow you to consider if you still need the programme and request a refund if you wish. If you choose to continue with the programme, we guarantee that your percentage score on the final paper will be higher than it was on the first, or else we will continue tutoring you for free.
The papers are not externally invigilated and are not official results. They measure progress on the programme and nothing else, and no grade produced this way is a prediction of, or a substitute for, an AQA result.
What is asked of you
The guarantee assumes the programme is actually taken. To rely on it you need to have sat both papers within the weeks they are set. If you do not sit either the first or final paper, GradeHunt may refuse to offer the free tutoring.
Cancelling the programme
The programme can be cancelled part-way through. You then pay only for the part of it you have used, counted in whole weeks of the four, and the rest of the fee is refunded. Cancelling after the first week refunds three quarters of it; after the second, a half.
A week counts as used once it has begun. Anything already given over for good - the video course, the slideshows, the cheat sheets - stays yours, and access to the group tutoring runs to the end of 18 December 2026 as it would have done.
Nothing in this section removes or limits any right you have under UK consumer law, which applies regardless of what is written here.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change. The version that applies to a purchase is the one published when the purchase was made, and the date at the top of this page says when this version was published.
